SIT BACK AND RELAX

Relax & Enjoy Your Visit

Sedation Dentistry in Downtown Seattle

We understand that for many patients, dental appointments can make them feel intimidated and vulnerable. That’s why we offer sedation options to help you feel more comfortable and at ease during your appointment, no matter what treatment you need at Seattle Dental Co. Patients opt to have sedation for a number of reasons including anxiety, a strong gag reflex, pain avoidance, or just to help them sit still for a more extensive treatment. If you think sedation may be right for you, mention it at your next appointment or give us a call to learn more!

Inhaled Minimal Sedation

Laughing Gas

If you are a bit nervous about an upcoming dental procedure and would like to be sedated, but you do not want any side effects that last for hours after your treatment, laughing gas may be your best option. Laughing gas helps relieve anxiety, and will make you feel more comfortable throughout your appointment. This sedative is delivered through a comfortable nose mask, and the effects wear off quickly after treatment. This means that if you opt for laughing gas sedation, you’ll be able to drive yourself home or go back to work immediately after your appointment.

Sleep Through Treatment

Oral Conscious Sedation

Oral conscious sedation is taken in pill or liquid form about an hour before your appointment. With oral conscious sedation, you will likely forget most or all of your appointment, and you may feel very groggy throughout your procedure. Some patients even fall asleep. If you are nervous about an upcoming dental surgery or you have a more serious case of dental anxiety, this treatment can help you stay comfortable and get the dental care you need without any pain. The side effects of oral conscious sedation will not wear off for several hours, so you will need to make appropriate travel arrangements to and from our office if you opt for this treatment.

Relieving Dental Anxiety

Sedation is not the only way to help relieve dental anxiety. At Seattle Dental Co., both Dr. Song and Dr. Guerrero specialize in treating nervous or fearful patients. We will discuss your triggers, fears, and anxieties to develop a custom treatment plan that will keep you feeling comfortable and safe. If you do not like the sound of dental drills, for example, we can provide you with headphones or earplugs that will drown out any unpleasant noise. We want your dental experience to be enjoyable, and we go above and beyond to provide you with comfortable care on your terms.
